Cricket Gets Spicy: Adding Points to the Oche Chaos!

We all know and love a good game of darts cricket. The strategic dance of opening and closing numbers, the satisfying thud of a triple 20! But have you ever cranked up the competitive dial to eleven with “Cricket With Points”? Trust me, it’s a game-changer.

Imagine the standard cricket battlefield: 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and the bullseye. Now, picture this: every time you hit a number you’ve opened, you don’t just close it for your opponent – you rack up points based on the multiplier! Single? Extra points equivalent to the mark. Double? Two glorious extra scored points. Treble? A whopping three points!

Points are scored only after your team closes the number (example: three 15’s) and your opponent has not yet closed that same number. Each additional 15 (in this example) racks up another 15 points to your score. Points stop accruing when all teams/players have close the number.

This simple addition transforms the game from a purely territorial battle to a points-fueled frenzy. Suddenly, those early singles to open a number become crucial for scoring potential. That desperate last dart isn’t just about closing; it’s about snatching those vital extra points. The tension thickens, the cheers (and jeers) get louder, and the drive to win intensifies tenfold.

Forget politely taking turns to open and close. “Cricket With Points” encourages aggressive play. Do you focus on opening multiple numbers to maximize scoring opportunities, even if they remain vulnerable? Or do you lock down a few numbers and relentlessly pile on the points? Each throw becomes a tactical decision, weighing risk and reward in the pursuit of that sweet, sweet victory and the bragging rights that come with a superior point tally. So grab your darts, gather your rivals, and prepare for a Cricket experience where every single throw truly counts!

Wild Card Cricket With Points!

If Cricket with points is not competitive enough, imagine if after each round, any number not already hit by any player or team (still an open point), the numbers can, and will, change! Now numbers you’re not accustomed to start showing up…numbers like 7, 12, 13, etc. Each number on the board with at least on hit by either team is considered “locked”. It will not change. The Bull, of course, never changes.

Have fun and please don’t hurt anybody! Play like the Ladies and Gentlemen you are!
